Our day camps offer children a dynamic and enriching environment that allows them to fuel their passions and try new activities!
3, 2, 1: PROGRAMMING IN MOTION
Based on the 3, 2, 1 approach, our Preschool, Children/Pre-teen, and Explorers programs get youth on the move!
3 swimming lessons per week from certified instructors. Scheduled free swim periods. (except at Pointe-Saint-Charles)
2 structured physical activities per week: Team sports, dance classes, Olympics, relay races, Zumba, etc.
1 cultural or community activity per week: Exploring the city and its different cultures, and various environmental initiatives.
Also included:
science-based activities, arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, or cooperative games, as well as an outing or special activity organized once a week..
Week 9: Nature getaway!
One-day excursion at YMCA Camp Kanawana and Outdoor Centre in Saint-Sauveur during week 9: rock climbing, hiking, swimming in the lake, etc.
Furthermore, many YMCAs offer specialty camps: Language Camp, Tennis Camp, Sports Camp, Explorers, Leaders-in-Training, and Counsellors-in-Training. (Details below).

Tennis Camp
Four hours of tennis lessons every day under the supervision of a certified instructor + various activities such as sports, games, and swimming.
Sports Camp
An array of sports and active play that helps improve skills, techniques, and strategies.
Language Camp (in collaboration with the YMCA International Language School)
Take advantage of your children’s summer break to help improve their English or French.
Possibility of combining English or French lessons with sports and recreational activities such as swimming, basketball, soccer, Frisbee, sightseeing, museums, ice skating, mini-golf, bowling, group projects, and visits to the Old Port, the Jazz Festival, and Mount Royal park.
Explorers
Afternoons are spent discovering the city as part of the “Destinations for Explorations” program. Campers actively participate in planning of activities.
Leaders-in-Training
A wide range of summer activities, interactive workshops, and experiences that will help develop self-confidence, as well as leadership and communication skills.
Counsellors-in-Training
A program that prepares youth to work with children. An interview may be necessary.
Teen Camp for youth ages 13 to 17
A camp with a variety of activities and outings, projects and special events, sports, swimming, camping, water slides, and much more! Contact the centre for more details.
OTHER INFORMATION
Childcare services
Childcare services are available at an additional cost at all centres except for the preschool day camps and some of the teen programs.
Early bird discounts
- 5% discount on the week rate if you register your child before March 31, 2013. (Can not be applied to pre and post camp childcare. Does not apply to the Pointe-Saint-Charles camps.)
Other discounts (cannot be combined, do not apply to pre and post camp childcare)
- 15% discount for YMCA Family membership holders.
- 10% discount applied to the second, third, and fourth child from the same family.
Registration fee
A $15 fee per week registered is required at the time of registration. This amount will be deducted from the total amount owed. Please note that in the event of a cancellation, the reservation fee will not be reimbursed.
Special needs
Our day camps strive to integrate children with special needs. The need and eligibility for a shadow will be determined according to specific criteria. For more information on the registration process, please contact the manager of the day camp.
The YMCAs of Québec day camps are for accessible to everyone thanks to the Access for All policy..
* Children must be registered in Kindergarten for fall 2013.
** Children age 12 finishing elementary school as of june 2013.
