The Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Y centre, which opened in October 1979, is well established
in its community, serving primarily the boroughs of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
and Rosemont-Petite-Patrie.
At the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Y centre, we believe in each person
Recognized for its high-quality community initiatives and innovative international
programs, the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Y centre works with social organizations in
its community. In order to give the opportunity to more people to benefit from its
sports activities, the centre provides a flexible pricing scale for more than 30%
of its members, adapted to their revenue. The Y offers a number of activities for
children and teens, a homework help program aimed primarily at discouraging them
from dropping out, instilling a desire for social commitment and promoting healthy
lifestyle habits.

The Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Y centre offers its members and visitors many different
fitness facilities, including an arena, to encourage individuals to get active.
Training regularly develops self-esteem, contributes to maintain a healthy weight
and brings a more optimistic outlook for the future. Staff members encourage a healthy
body as well as a healthy mind!
The Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Y centre enjoys the outstanding support of more than
50 volunteers and many donors. More than 2,000 people use its programs and services
every year.
